Using OPUS in a 4-Cable-Method (4CM) Setup

Did you know you can level-up your existing 4-Cable-Method compatible modeler, Amp Sim or Multi Effect unit with OPUS? Follow our steps below to configure this setup and enrich your rig with OPUS’ class-leading DynIR cabinet, TSM Amplifier and Post FX emulation.

  • First, connect the effects loop send of your modeler, Amp Sim or Multi Effect unit to the AMP/LINE/INST input of OPUS.
  • Next, connect the LINE OUT of OPUS to the effects loop return of the modeler, Amp Sim or Multi Effect unit. Please note, it is important to ensure the effects loop return is calibrated to accommodate a line level signal at its input.
  • As OPUS will provide your main amp tone, through its DSP-powered TSM preamp/poweramp emulation and cabinet simulation via the DynIR Engine, please deactivate the amp and cabinet simulation within your modeler, Amp Sim or Multi Effect unit. (NOTE: If using OPUS in tandem with a ReVolt Series pedal, deactivate the preamp and power amp simulation in OPUS, as ReVolt will serve as your foundation amp tone).
  • Finally, activate the effects loop block in your Multi Effect unit. Place the effects loop block in your signal chain to apply the relevant effects of OPUS to your signal chain. If you are using the TSM preamp and poweramp in OPUS, place the effects loop before the drive tones of your Multi Effect unit. If you are using the cabinet simulation, place the effects loop after the amp simulation of your Multi Effect unit.
