Ask a question:

What to do if I get a "System Error 67.0" on my Torpedo CAB ?

Solution

The System Error 67.0 is a memory corruption error that may happen when updating from the v1 to the v2 and v3 firmware on the Torpedo Live and CAB. The solution is to install an alternative firmware that reset the whole User files memory (banks User0 to User3). The presets are stored in another part of the memory, so they are not erased in the process.

The Two Notes virtual cabinets are erased too, and are replaced by new, enhanced versions, compatible with the v2 and v3 firmware. This is done after the update.

This procedure is for the Torpedo CAB. If you are using a Torpedo Live, please follow this link.

1) First, locate the "Binaries" folder on your computer :

- PC 64bits : C:\Program Files (x86)\Two Notes Audio Engineering\Binaries
- PC 32bits : C:\Program Files\Two Notes Audio Engineering\Binaries
- Mac OSX : /Library/Application Support/Two Notes Audio Engineering/Binaries

2) Erase all the files in this folder.

3) Download the attached "Torpedo_CAB_v2_13.tfu" file, available below this article, and copy it in this "Binaries" folder.

4) Turn your Torpedo CAB on while keeping the EDIT button pressed. It will start in "UPDATE" mode.

5) Launch the Torpedo Remote software. If the software suggests an update other than 2.13, don't do it. Then, the software should suggest to update to v2.13. Do it, by clicking the "Firmware Update" button.

6) The firmware will be installed and will run automatically. Upon restart, the Torpedo CAB should display "Files erased." At this point, the memory is reset, and the next step is to re-install a working firmware on the device.

7) Erase the "Torpedo_CAB_v2_13.tfu" file in the "Binaries" folder, and elsewhere if needed. You won't need it anymore, and you should not use it again, because it will erase the files again.

8) Download the attached "Torpedo_CAB_v3_10.tfu" file, available below this article, and copy it in this "Binaries" folder.

9) Turn your Torpedo CAB on while keeping the EDIT button pressed. It will start in "UPDATE" mode.

10) Launch the Torpedo Remote software. It should suggest to update to v3.10. Do it, by clicking the "Firmware Update" button. The software may also suggest a newer firmware update, you can download and install it now.

10) The firmware will be installed and will run automatically. Upon restart, the Torpedo Remote should pop-up a window suggesting to load the default Two Notes virtual cabinets, click on the "Load default cabinets" to start the upload. It takes less than 10 minutes.
