How do I install my Torpedo Remote v4 on an offline computer?

The Torpedo Remote v4 can be used in two modes:

  • The "Guest" mode

In this mode you can only remotely control your Torpedo device from your computer. No Internet connection is required. This mode is useful to control a device that does not belong to you. As you are not identified as the Torpedo's owner, you cannot buy (through
La Boutique) and/or transfer Two Notes cabinets to your device, but you can still transfer user cabinets/IRs (.tur, .wav, aiff).

Here are the instructions to follow:

    1. First, download the Torpedo Remote setup here and transfer it to the target computer and launch the setup process.

    2. Connect your device via USB and launch the Torpedo Remote.

    3. You should arrive on the Welcome Window. Click "Guest".

    4. Congratulations! You can now use your Torpedo Remote in Guest mode.

  • The "Logged" mode

    In this mode y
ou can not only remotely control your Torpedo device but also transfer your Two Notes cabinets. To do so, you need first to register your device on your Two Notes account. If you don't have an account, you will be asked to create it at the Remote's first launch. Creating a Two Notes account grants you access to all the firmware and software updates, and La Boutique.

The creation of the Two Notes account and the registering on your Torpedo device requires an internet connection. You will need to proceed in two steps: the first step on a computer connected to the Internet (online computer), the second on the computer where your want to use your Torpedo Remote (target computer).

    5. Your Torpedo device is now registered on your account. Your license file and your Two Notes Cabinets files will be automatically downloaded on the computer. When this operation is finished, a message windows will inform you the registration has succeeded. A confirmation email with the license file enclosed must arrive on your email box.
